'This country is not a fiefdom of anyone's family... Why doesn't their generation apply the surname Nehru!

Gandhi-Nehru family names on 600 government schemes

On raising objections about names in government schemes, PM Modi said, I have read in some newspapers that there are. 600 government schemes named after the Gandhi-Nehru family. His hair stands on end if Nehru's name is not mentioned. Why not give his name... I don't understand why anyone of his generation is ashamed to have the surname Nehru.

The PM said, since independence till now till our government came, only 3 crore households were getting tap water. In the last three-four years, 11 crore households are getting tap water. Water problem in India, which is the problem of all families. Life is impossible without water. We worked towards making water reach to all the houses in the country. More than half of the people of this country could not reach the door of a bank. We found a permanent solution for it. 48 crore Jandhan Bank accounts were opened in the last 9 years. Of these, 32 crore bank accounts were opened from villages and small areas.

PM Modi gave this answer in the Lok Sabha

During the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's address on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi criticized the central government. He targeted PM Modi on Adani issue. Then on Wednesday, PM Modi attacked the Congress during his speech in the Lok Sabha. However, PM Modi did not mention Rahul's name at all during the address.
